If you have FTTP(Fiber to the Premise), then your Internet connection will be provided by an Internet jack. The Internet jack will look like a phone jack yet is wider than a phone jack.  The jack may be labeled as CAT5, CAT5E, or CAT6. Depending on the house, the jack may be surface mounted with or without a phone jack.(Fig.1) or may be a small wall box jack(Fig. 2).
