Occasionally when I dial a number, I hear three beeps and the call disconnects. Why?

If you hear three even beeps, the network is busy due to high call volumes.
If you hear three escalating beeps, this usually means the PCS phone is not getting strong enough signal.

You are not getting enough signal strength to receive calls or you have the phone set up to forward all calls. Look for at least 2 bars of signal strength on your phone....
I tried to make a call and my phone screen shows the display SIM CARD ERROR.
You may have tried to make the call to quickly after you powered up the phone. Try your call again. If this problem persists, call customer service.
